White/British – 18-30. Earnest and young. Pembry confides in his chief Kitchen Girl throughout the film. She is patient and willing, but hides a growing desperation at her master’s increasingly outrageous acts. Actor must be able to carry a narrative, a constantly shifting opinion, and a subtle opinion of Pembry as the characters’ relationship develops.

White/British, 40-60. A Lord, popular among the discerning and the aspirational attendees of the party. He makes a habit of holding court. Must be able to command a presence within a room and on camera.

White/British 50-65. An older gentlemen, the vicar is not unused to a glass of wine, yet remains a highly respected member of the local community. He doesn’t want to rock the boat.

White/British 30-45. A self-confident woman, able to hold her own in a difficult conversation, and not afraid to be direct or brittle – after all, it’s got her where she is today.

White/British 20-35. A Major returning from duty, Freddie is somewhat a British Military hero, and certainly charming enough to attract female attention. Bashful and quiet, he is perhaps old beyond his years.

White/British 20-35. Confident and headstrong, she knows what she wants, and she wants it now. But that doesn’t mean that she can’t charm when the need arises, and she has an unmistakeable mystique to match her quick wits.

White/British 50+. He might be a nosy gossip, but he’s discerning of his master’s needs, and he’s always up for a good wheeze.

White/British, 45-60. Married with a family. Boisterous and fun, she is content with her lot in life and makes the most of every day.
