Exciting opportunities for singers and dancers!

Professional 4 piece covers band from Brixton (SW2) offering a mixture of live & pre-recorded music. Some songs are note for note covers, some totally changed & re-arranged in Pop, Rock, Ska, Funk, Hard Rock, Disco styles. [YouTube link w. a medley containing a few songs, is available once you apply]. We incorporate theatrical elements & influences, use cutting edge technology & have fantastic sound quality & great background videos & presentation. There is a team of people in London & abroad already working hard for this band. All songs & background videos are already recorded & prepared. We have a proven 10 year track record [legit business, registered w. the Inland Revenue] & offer remarkable stability.

Looking for an experienced singer / dancer or a dancer; not ruling out talented newcomers.
Singers must have a strong voice (none of our songs is a lullaby), cope with songs that are originally sung by female singers, & perform own moves and very basic synchronized moves / routines w. a dancer. No constant lead singing, (singing is shared).
Dancers will have to perform own moves as well as very basic synchronized moves with the singer / dancer, during the entirety of the shows (2 hours minimum).
Performance wise: There is plenty of room for these two “front people” (singer / dancer & the dancer) to express themselves, make their own contributions & bring their own ideas and moves in the mix. You will be asked & encouraged to do so.

We offer up to £100 per gig as a starting point (can go higher at a later stage), depending on the applicant’s ability, experience, skills, level of commitment etc. Not paying for rehearsal time or transportation costs at any stage. Ask yourself how you will be returning home from a gig at 3 o’ clock in the morning. If you live far from Brixton you might have serious issues with time, fatigue, & travel expenses.

We expect you to treat this as a job (not a hobby or a “little side project”), give us priority & offer a lot of your time and energy (do homework, rehearse during the weekdays in Brixton, be available for gigs + vacancies in the UK or abroad). Strictly looking for hard working people w. very strong will & the urge to succeed. Do not apply if you can’t give us priority & work hard, if smoking, drinking, drug taking or other assorted “hobbies” are more important to you than work, if you can’t grasp the concept of what is required in order to join pro band.

Provide your email, get the mp3, learn to sing + dance to the song, video your performance w. a mobile phone camera / web camera / video camera, within 7 days email it or YouTube it (can be taken off YouTube the next minute we check it). This saves precious time & energy, & you can shoot at your own time in a stress free environment of your choice. If unable to do this currently, apply when you have the technology & the right place to perform moves & singing in a way that pleases you & represents your ability / style. Not looking for ballet or gymnastics necessarily, just your singing & dancing style & ability to improvise. Have to see how well you can do with one of our key songs (not random unrelated songs) from a very early stage, because should you join us, we will video the new line up & promote it to the booking agents. (This answers possible questions about number of gigs with this band. With the right front person we will get the right amount of gigs, get it wrong and of course we get less work). This one video is your first, last & only audition, therefore it is compulsory for each and every applicant. Then we meet up, you check our work and we rehearse. If good at doing homework alone at a time of your convenience, we will not have to rehearse too much.
