Training / Education

2009
  • Institute of Contemporary Music Performance : Higher Diploma in Vocals, London, UK
  • Modeling

I am patient, flexible, creative, outgoing, ambitious and keen to learn. In addition to shoots relevant to music; as a gigging vocalist and recording artist - fashion wise, I have modelled for Kal Kau Rai (shoot for OK Magazine), modelled - whilst singing! - at three boutique fashion shows, held by Kaiz Boutique, in prestigious London clubs as well as promoting local fashion boutiques through local fashion press. More recently, successfully applied and shot for new lingerie designer Nikki Noo alongside photographer Robert Bradley and became part of the Lsora model catalogue.

I also have experience shooting ads/commercials, both recorded as normal and of the animated kind, where stills have been taken (...24 a second!) and patience is a virtue! hehe!

I have experience with live television through ITV/Endemol/TalkbackThames, in an interview, performance and entertainment capacity.

I also worked for 3 years as a Tactical Sampler and promotions girl for various brands and products through CPM international and attended events & exhibitions promoting entertainment packages for corporate & private events & parties. I am a keen and effective seller, very personable and with diversity of experience behind me, a pursuit of knowledge always present and a love of tapping into any personality.

I have recently been working with local photographers and looking to get back into opportunities, especially creative ones x

I am also actively pursuing presenting opportunities with a view to get into TV and/or Radio presenting following on from my current presenting role with Rockaoke and other entertainment requirements...

p.s. my hair is currently of a dark purple variety!

    Acting

My acting experience derives solely from musical theatre and event hosting (due to the multitude of 'personas' I have been asked to be!)

I appeared at the age of 11 in the KIngs Theatre in Glasgow as part of the Apollo Players' production of Carousel, in the role of Ms Snow. From there I bagged a part as Pepper in Annie before moving home and being able to take part in school productions initially (Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret) before joining the local amateur dramatics and playing the lead role in consecutive years' Pantomimes! I have also been invited to act in plays, written by local writers to showcase to producers and perform to locals.

Since picking up music, the acting took a back seat, until last year when I began teaching at a Performing Arts School and although I functioned initially as the Vocal Coach, I have been partaking in the 'performance' aspects and since been offered to take on the school as the musical-director boss is moving away.

Despite then not having much time to work on more shows for myself, I absolutely love theatre and would love the opportunity to try something new and develop my acting skills again.

    Music

there's alot to stomach! after a slight glitch of reality tv show appearance, my achievement, personally and professionally, comes from several years of gigging all over the country, securing residencies and developing private and corporate entertainment which has resulted in festival appearances, tv appearances and the support of big clients.

I have just finished a Higher Diploma (vocals) at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance to boost my academic knowledge and fortify my gigging years. I am keen to grow as a songwriter as I was never allowed to study music at school (worrisome parents!) and after dropping out of Medical School to pursue this career, I was a little 'unarmed' to say the least, and in a previous 'singer-songwriter' existence (with a management and production deal that ended in june 2008), the writing was put on the back burner for some time while funds were raised.

During that time though, I had the opportunity to work, write and record with some big producers/songwriters in London, Los Angeles and Melbourne, Australia, those of which were behind the success of tracks by Natalie Imbruglia, The Pointer Sisters, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Eels, Olivia Newton-John, Chris Isaak, Willie Nelson, Chicago, Vanessa Amorossi and Delta Goodrem

...previous to this incarnation of my career, I also had the honour of recording with the rather successful Steve Mac who gave me my biggest honour of singing my two favourite Christmas songs in the world...AND gave me the opening line to one of them!

Gigs wise I still gig regularly as a cover band, securing residencies despite the credit crunch and on a seperate project, hosting/compering 'Rockaoke' (www.rockaoke.co.uk) at live music venue, private events and corporate bashes all over the world! ...as well as doing gigs for companies like Sennheiser, Virgin, Orange, VPMG and the Hard Rock Cafe, we bagged ourselves a permanent spot in Hyde Park over the summer, appearing at Hard Rock Calling, Wireless and even, up in the bonnie hills of Loch Ness at Rockness!

In addition to that, I have a love (and experience) for musical theatre, panto, live TV, music videos, presenting, modelling & promotional design (!!)

Give me what you got and I will do my best to fulfil any role x
