My experience for this is.
I am in a tribute band to the Sex Pistols the 'Sex Pistols Experience' and have played the role 2/3 times a week for the last 5 years & im also in an original band called 'Metal Box In Dub' feauturing former 'PiL' Public image Ltd members Jah Wobble & Keith Levene.
Aswell as looking like the 70's better remembered version of the man i have mastered his singing voice and speaking voice precisely as part of my job. i have played the double role of John Lydon in many documentaries over the years and friends with the man himself with thumbs up of approval, i have a wardrobe of approximately 30 outfits to choose from for any fitted occasion and scenario.

My main job is acting every week,playing the role of another character in tribute bands and doing it justice and making it believable.

The band are regulars on the biker/Scooter rally circuit, proving to be a popular & lively alternative from the usual 'run-of-the-mill' bands that have bored bikers for the last few years! 2004,05', 07',09,10 saw the recreation of the infamous 1977 Queen Elizabeth boat party, attracting a sell-out audience's & rave reviews in the London & national press, and a headline slot on SKY News!

After playing hundreds of live shows since their formation in 2001, covering the length & breadth of England, winning over some of the toughest of critical audiences, and building on the foundations of a solid fan base at every gig. The groups reputation has now spread oversea's, with them playing many festivals & dates all across Europe,USA & even Brazil. from Barcelona to Rio de Janiero & far beyond, taking it in their stride playing in front of an estimated 20,000+ people at one Czech Trutnov festival. During 2006 the Sex Pistols Experience spent three & a half month's touring extensively around the U.S.A - from New York to L.A, El Paso to Seattle, & everywhere else in-between.! Proving, beyond doubt they really are, not just the U.K's, but the world's No1 Sex Pistols tribute.!

The quality of the look-a-like, sound-a-like show also gained the attention of of the BBC television company who hired the boy's (& Nancy) to act as stand-in doubles of the Sex Pistols for the BBC documentary 'Blood on the turntables', which led to further film work with SKY T.V's 'Death By Excess', & 'Final 24' documentary's. Channel 4 invited the band on for a day of pampering as the pistols took saunas on live T.v!! Then there was the 'Fox Rocks' appearance in the U.S.A. And next up - the dvd documentary 'God Save the Sex Pistols ', again using the band as doubles for the Sex Pistols, re-creating many of the key moments of the bands career on location around London. The band were also called upon to help out for acting duties for Alan Parkers DVD movie 'Who killed Nancy' released in 2010.
Even the original members from the Sex Pistols and Public image ltd, Johnny thunders & the heartbreakers call upon the Sex Pistols Experience to fill in and even record new material with each other.
