| About me: | | I am an old hippy but young at heart!I am 71 years old, my fiancee Nikki is 34.I have long hair, & 'fuzzy' sideburns,wear colourful kaftans.I stand out in a crowd,and have an infectious sense of humour, evident in my guest appearances with Enie Almond on BBC Three Counties Radio. People are drawn to Nikki and myself.
My zany sense of humour is clear in my children's book series,'Tales of Widgeripoo'. TV writer Jimmy Perry urged me to get them published as books after seeing them in a local magazine.
I have done a lot of radio broadcasting about my environmental work & childrens books on BBC 3 Counties Radio,Hertbeat FM and Capital Radio, as well as finding interesting & amusing snippets in the national papers. See my video clip as a grumpy Grampz.I write songs with my friend Aitch. One of our songs is on Star Now, sung by Niiki & I. I also have a talent for mimicking UK and American accents,and have done voices for cartoon films.Listen to my audio clips. |

Acting experience
I have just acted as an eccentric retired American comic in the BBC sketch show 'Stewart Lee', and have completed a part as a low-rent punter in the Hollywood movie 'Sherlock Holmes'. I have also recently been filming as a Romany in 'Ashes to Ashes', and appeared on 'This Morning' with my fiancee, Nikki Heydon, talking about our 37-year age-gap relationship.There may be a follow-up on our wedding at Knebworth House in April 2009. I have also done five days on 'The Bill' as a S/A playing an old rocker who gets into a club brawl and gets arrested and taken to Sun Hill. I have also been filming. as a villager, with Sir Anthony Hopkins and Benecio Del Toro in the Hollywood movie, 'Wolfman' due for cinema release in 2009. I have also appeared again in 'The Bill' with my fiancee Nikki Heydon as homeless people, and two episodes of 'Midsomer Murders, also with Nikki, first as actors playing 16th Century French peasants, ('they seek him here') and in the second as environmentalists protesting about a new road development, ('Left for Dead'): talk about type casting! I had small speaking parts in both. I have also played a drunkard in the 2007 BBC production of 'Oliver Twist', also with a small speaking part.I have also completed a short film,as a main character,Charlie Henderson, titled 'The Need' in which Charlie gets strangled by a vigilante! I have also appeared on stage in pantomime,as a 'camp' Genii of The Lamp, the voice can be heard on my audio clip.I have also compered many variety shows in the fifties and sixties,doing comedy routines and impersonations. I have appeared in music hall singing old time songs, amateur dramatics, amatuer films and musicals. I can mimic many UK accents, including Scots, as well as USA, as you can hear on my audio clip. I have also been in student films with Nikki. My latest part is as a 'Crust' in a pilot comedy TV series by Absurd productions.I have just been told that I will be on the team when the series has been picked up.

Television experience

I have appeared too, in Horticultural and environmental features on Anglia TV, also 'Find a Fortune', In the audience in many TV programmes from 'The Arthur Askey Show' and 'Oh Boy!' in the fifties, to 'The Paul O'Grady Show' in 2005
In 2006, I have been filmed with my partner Nikki for the BBCTV 'One Life' series about our age-gap of 37 years. A recent call was for a Channel Four documentary about legendary film director Stanley Kubrik, talking about his obsession with stationery, - with animation! Recently I am a regular guest on 'The Ernie Almond Show'on BBC Three Counties Radio, and Ern (who I call 'Our Ernie' have been waging a 'phony war' with each other over my loud shirts, and how I am never actually invited on the show, butalways break in! This has been extended on to my website, and my users have been joining in. I was, in fact a radio presenter in the RAF in 1957-58. See picture. So I have a lot of radio experience- One of favourite medias!

Presenting experience
I was a radio DJ/presenter in my own RAF Ruislip record request show 'After The Bull' between 1957 and 1958. I also wrote and performed comedy sketches for the programme. Since then, I have guested on many radio shows, and often work with Ernie Almond on his 'Sunday Lunch' for BBC Three Counties Radio. In fact, I have attracted a fan club!

Magazine experience
I have written horticultural and environmental articles for such magazines as Gardeners Chronicle and Garden News since the Sixties. Horticultural, Environmental and Social features for many local newspapers and magazines since the fifties, and presented a weekly column in The Walthamstow Independent Newspaper under the name of Perry Peterson for a year in 1968.
I have published Environmental books and childrens books, and have just launched the first three volumes of my biography.
I also run a website on Environmental, social and horticultural issues, as well as music, all of which are updated regularly.
I have also appeared in 'Thats Life!' Love it!' The Sunday Times 'Style' magazine, and 'Woamns Own' regarding my 37 year age gap with my partner Nikki, and in The Daily Mirror regarding my campaign, together with Stevenage MP Mrs Shirley Williams (now Baroness Williams), for the 'One Parent Family Allowance' in 1968/69, which eventually came into effect in 1971.We are also to be featured, regarding our age-gap relationship in The Sun newspaper in the very near future.
