Miranda’s first professional solo singing engagement was for Carols by Candlelight when she was twelve years old. As a teenager she discovered she had a love and feel for jazz music and has sung with local jazz bands for charity events and quests and has also won a prestige’s award for that genre. She has also performed professionally in a duo and trio in the Newcastle area.
Her lead roles for Television include Constance Kent and Pauline Parker in the series Deadly Women which highlights the life and times of real-life female criminals.
In 2010, Miranda opened her own performing arts school, Centre Stage Performing Arts, in her home town teaching singing, dance and drama for young children to teens.
This has allowed her to pass on to others, no matter what their ability, the knowledge she has gained as a performer along with her unique creativity and sense of fun. The studio has five premises and is growing. www.centrestageperformingarts.com
