Whilst William David has worked in many areas of the industry over the years - in recent times the work has been biased to the more unusual area of male participants. The thinking behind this is simple - it's an area many photographers seem to avoid, thus making those who work in this sector a big fish in a small pond. Also a makeup artist is not used unless prearranged on early shoots, and catering for chaperon's is required less with males.
This is not however to the exclusion of females, who are always welcome if they are happy with the shoot limitations of no makeup artist etc [They can arrange their own ofcourse]..
The experience shoots are designed to get someone new to the camera thinking of range and persona, charactor and confidence.

Unlike many photographers there is no objection to bringing "a friend" or in the case of under 18's the parent [s] although under 18's are required to have an agreed adult in attendance anyways.

There are many people who dream of stardom, but few who pursue it or even know how. StarNow can be an excellent way to get that foot in the door – to move towards performance be it as a hobby or as a potential career, or acting, singing modelling. Although many on StarNow have taken formal training in their chosen field, many more have no training at all – just a burning desire to sing, dance, act and perform. Most shoots take place within a Leicester theatre company/arts centre and are both economic and informal. No two shoots are the same as they are built around the subject.
Much of the work has a theatre style to it, as we progress into character and persona – careful use of props ensure an interesting image collection and strong image context.
Shoots can also take place on location if this suits, and the whole aim is to keep everything flexable.
