Bass Guitar ability
I studied music for 5 years, the last 3 studying Music performance at ACM (Academy of Contemporary Music), where I was tutored by Nick Preston (Imelda May, Julian Lloyd Webber,John Blackwell), Paul Geary (George Michael, The Lighthouse Family, Mary J Blige), Pat Hughes, and Mike Nichols. My Tutors recognised and praised me for my ability to play by ear (Great Relative Pitch), having excellent Timing, Rhythm, Feel and Tone. I have an outstanding ability to score music and am a proficient sight reader. I have five years of experience in both live gigging and studio recording work. Able to perform a variety of Contemporary genres and have been a member of many originals Projects which have covered a wide range of genres including Rock, Pop, Indie, Grunge, Punk, Ska, Blues, Nu Rave and, live D&B. I'm a Chameleon when it comes to image, blending in to my musical environment. I feel that live performance is a very important aspect of music because if your not feeling the music how can you expect the audience to, which is why i like to put on a show.
I was in was a Rock Band called Six Hour Sundown (www.facebook.com/sixhoursundown) which was fronted by Lauren Harris (Daughter of Steve Harris - Iron Maiden) and Richie Faulkner (Judas Priest) where we sadly decided to split in Aug 2012. During my time with Six Hour Sundown we had many successful UK and European tours, played both Main and 2nd Stages for festivals such as Soniphere, Graspop Metal Meeting and Download! festival to name a few. We also released a Single called 'Jekyll & Hyde' which was played on Kerrang! and Scuzz television (available in videos).
Most recent band I was in was a Rock band called Cage The Gods (http://www.cagethegods.com).
"In simplest terms, it could be argued that the reason Cage The Gods have progressed so far and so quickly in 2013 is down to the old-fashioned and elusive skill that all artists strive for – great and unquantifiable song writing. Everything about the group is self-driven with boundless energy coupled with a natural song writing ability. They see no obstacles and refuse to accommodate any negative thoughts, or as Comerford puts it, “If there isn’t room for us in the rock scene, then we’ll make room.”
Melodic, catchy, accessible, memorable, uncluttered and layered with harmonic dimension and big choruses, the power of the initial songs which make up their debut album very quickly secured them a management deal, live agents in the USA and UK, a global album deal with a 2014 release on The End Records / Warner ADA in North America and on 7HzRecordings in the rest of the world. Not to mention a run of exciting support performances during 2013 with bands such as Heaven’s Basement, Tracer, The Answer, and Filter.
As featured in the recent issue of Classic Rock (magazine) 2014’s Hottest New Bands double page spread, 2014 will see them release their highly anticipated debut album Badlands in North America on March 25th (via The End Records) and in all other territories on March 31st. They will tour the UK and Europe as main support to The Treatment with further shows planned at Austin’s SXSW including a run of 20 US dates supporting Fuel and Buckcherry. Upon returning to UK shores in late spring, they will then embark on their first headline UK club tour. These are certainly busy and heady times indeed."
