Bass Guitar ability

Nick France began playing bass guitar just after leaving school in 1980 and went on to sing and play in a series of local bands throughout the 80's. The first shot at major stardom was with the ill fated Birmingham based "Dreddin' The Weddin' " working with top Midlands drummer Pete Isherwood and breathing the same air as The Who and The Style Council for a short time.
For most of the 1990's he was bassist / vocalist with the acclaimed Birmingham based folk/rock outfit "Dewberry Firkin". The Firkin regularly supported circuit favourites including "The Steve Gibbons Band", "John Otway", "Quill", "Soul Survivors", Kerfuffle" and even played a Monster Raving Looney Rally with "Screaming Lord Sutch". More recently Nick was lead vocalist and bassist with Staffordshire based pop/rock band "The Special Stuff" and has had spells with folk / rock / ceilidh band "The Fox Hat", "The Rub" rhythm & blues band, Coventry folk/rock band "Bellatryx", Birmingham rock/pop bands "Jewels", "Classix", "Fools Life", "Thirsty Work" and "Back 2 Black". From 2013 to 2018 "Dance Floor Deluxe" playing 70's Disco / Soul / Motown / Funk / Northern Soul classics.
Current gear includes the Warwick Corvette $$ electric bass, headless Washburn Status (1000 series) electric bass, Orange Tiny Terror 1000 and Hartke 1000 Speakers.
