CURRENTLY IN SPOTLIGHT WITH NEW STAGE NAME: ALMA REISING View Pin: 6611-7864-8167
I am a strong character & comedy actress, professionally trained at Drama School with a 12 year successful career in late 70s to early 90s, and I love to be in front of the camera or a live audience. I have just been cast in a Community Film project with The Community Broadcast Company (SEPTEMBER 2017) and have been brushing up on my acting skills with workshops with THE REEL SCENE and at THE ACTORS TEMPLE (Since April 2017)
During the time I was raising my family & teaching Drama & English, I kept my inner actress alive by making the occasional student film/commercial and doing performance storytelling. This year I wrote and appeared in a World Book Day Event as The Sea Goddess telling Tales of The Sea. (March 2017) and in 2016 I produced a programme of Hedgehog Tales for performance at Stave Hill Ecological Park.
Older credits include 5 years ago: Febreze internet commercial; Film for Charity with SHAKEIT films playing Mother of Teenager in trouble at school; live performance to raise money for charity 'Womankind' Shoreditch - a 5 min story in a promotional charity event - a story about the value of women!! as if we didn't know how valuable we are!! October 2010 Student film - role Newsreporter on location, uploaded on this site. View via http://www.youtube.com/user/GeorgePaineFilms?feature=mhum. In 2006 I performed as a singing piece of art in 'This is Propaganda' at Tate Britain by artist Tinho Seghal(!)
Earlier: Short film Tinyhorse Productions 'Millie's Story'. Role: neurotic tarot card reader dissatisfied with life - comedy. Student film - Role: Mother - modern version of 'The Monkey's Paw' - my life is ruined by an evil talisman. Search YouTube but be warned the synch is atrocious!! I am keen to do voiceover work and I work as a Professional Storyteller and Trainer.
