Previous unpaid speaking roles
I co-starred in a short thriller film which is currently being cut. I played a person who meets the star through the web, has a date with her, goes to strangle her then loses his nerve and runs away, the twist being she wanted to be murdered.
I've been in 3 plays. 2 performed at the Darlington Arts centre and one out doors.
In 12th night I played Feste, the Jester. Ha almost has a split personality, has to play and mimic other characters within the role and is also required to sing extensively and play the mandolin.
In one play I played a romantic part as a 17th Century soldier who came back in visions. In each scene I was intially detached from the other cast reacting to them talking about me until the female character came on and we completed the scenes together from there.
In the other I played Francis Bacon who allegedly wrote Shakespeare's plays.
I trained to be a teacher but went in to another role that involved lots of public speaking, so acting hasn't been too difficult to move to.
