Whilst at school Ben played in the school band performing in their yearly musicals held at the Hazlitt Theatre and Corn Exchange in Maidstone. He also played in many other school related performances. Being exposed to live performance at a young age Ben has had the opportunity to play with many different bands and solo musicians. At 13, Ben and his band were involved in a BBC 2 production on promoting your band. More recently his band Youthblood, a shoegaze/grunge trio, enjoyed a succesful run with an appearance in NME magazine as well as supporting bands such as Bastille, Palma Violets and Childhood on the London gig circuit.
At 17, Ben completed his musical performance studies at Cornwallis Academy and moved to Brighton to attent BIMM. In the space of 3 years Ben has been fortunate enough to learn the drums from some of the UK's most succesful musicians and has developed the ability to play many different musical styles along with BIMM's students at numerous venues around the Brighton area.
