I'm a 23 year old drummer and musician from Reading performing with two bands, teaching with the Oxfordshire Rock Project and one-to-one teaching as well. I hold a 2:1 Degree in Music Performance from the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, where I was taught by (among others) Frank Tontoh, Pete Reilly, Windsor McGilivray and Joe Yoshida.
I am a drummer with two bands, Black Emerald (https://black-emerald.com/) and InAir (https://www.inairband.com/) for details as well as social media (Facebook, Youtube, Instagram etc). Both bands have played multiple festivals (eg Bloodstock, Fire and Forge, Icebreaker, Facebarmageddon, Reading Rising etc) and have released albums and EPs as well to excellent reviews.
I have multiple kits for playing and teaching:
- DW Collectors Series - six piece
- PDP X7 for gigging
- Ludwig Jazz kit (Questlove) for hip hop and teaching
- Forecast Acrylic custom for gigging/recording
- Sabian cymbals (20 plus, various configurations of hats, etc)
- Roland SPDSX for backing tracks
I am very well versed in sight reading, click tracks etc and can pick up new songs quickly.
I also play keys and tuned percussion to a high standard, and dabble in guitar and bass as well. My music theory knowledge is excellent, as I hold multiple qualifications in music. I can also sight read to a high standard.
In addition to drumming and music in general I also do some video editing and have my own cameras, DaVinci Resolve etc) to both shoot, mix and balance videos.
I have my own transport and hold a full clean licence. In addition I am a member of the Musician's Union and have appropriate Liability Insurance in place.
Testimonial - Toby Drummond - (Shaun Ryder, Seahorses, Ray Davies, Russell Watson)
'Connor is an extremely talented musician and has been a pleasure to work with at the ACM. Connor has a super work ethic/professional attitude and is certainly a drummer to look out for in the future'
