I have studied drama and the performance arts since high school. At the age of 16 I became interested in this profession as a future career.
Three years later I had my admission exam that I have passed successfully and for the next four years I intensely studied different types of theatre: non-verbal theatre, dramatization/ staging, Commedia Dell'Arte, Shakespeare, psychological and contemporary theatre (Chekhov and Matei Visniec).
I have been intensely trained vocally and physically - dancing, ballet, fencing, acrobatics etc.
I also took part in various workshops on body language, Neo-No Theatre and The Language of Shakespeare that definitely enriched my perspectives.
I finished university with a first class honours degree in Performing Arts. After my studies I was hired as an actress in a theatre company. My first part was that of 'PistoI' in Shakespeare's 'The Merry Wives of Windsor'. I played there for one year and then I moved to another theatre mostly dealing with contemporary texts.
After my second year of playing in a professional theatre I decided to move to Barcelona where I started my own theatre company with two of my friends who were under the teachings of Jaques Lecoq's method. I was very interested to watch their performances and we eventually collaborated to make our own productions. Before that, we were involved in a project led by a theatre company in Prague that came to Barcelona to reproduce their success from there with a puppets show. From this resulted a musical production called 'Cats', after the classic one but with puppets.
We later started another production with marionettes after Mozart's opera 'Don Giovanni'.
After that we started working on our first project called 'Elevator'. The play was performed in two different small theatres and was set to tour festivals but I had to move to the UK so here I am!
In Manchester I started taking acting classes at David Johnson Drama and I have been taking part in projects for short length films, videos and a feature film.
I am positive that all I have learnt so far gave me the impulse to know more and to better myself. I believe that changes (of any nature, environment, etc.) are always welcome for an actor's development.
