I have a Bachelor of Music Degree in Composition and my LTCL Teachers Diploma in Singing from Trinity College of Music in London where I studied opera and jazz guitar.
The last 15yrs have been spent as a session singer, guitarist, and piano/keyboard player performing, recording, and touring extensively in the UK and throughout Europe with bands or as a solo artist at jazz/arts festivals.
As a singer I have been a member of the Swingle Singers and for the last 7yrs a member of the internationally acclaimed vocal theatre group The Shout with regular shows all over Europe, UK, and the USA.
My guitar style is jazz based but I have developed a complex style of playing using bass lines, chords, and melody all at once when accompanying myself or other musicians or as a solo instrument by itself. Although my love is jazz I am happy playing in most styles as required and adapt quickly to most situations.
As a piano player I have held residencies in many of London's 5 star piano bars with regular placements in similar venues in many European cities. My piano style again is very jazz influenced and I have led my own quartet in the UK for the last 7yrs as a pianist/singer with our soon to be released cd Mr Blue being featured on BBC's Radio 2. The many years spent in piano bars has given me a large repertoire from not only the jazz era but through to todays contemporary hits.
As a composer/arranger I have written or co-written many projects and regularly supply incidental music to North Star Music Publishing (UK).
I currently teach jazz guitar at Adelaide University.
