2010-2013: Presenter on live children's television show- Whitebait studios. This involved presenting both scripted and impromptu lines to a live studio and home audience, choreographed dancing, acting with kids and dressing-up as the television mascot: Camellia the Gorilla.
Duties include:
• Calling home viewers, engaging in conversation that was both appropriate and entertaining, obtaining facts and preparing them to speak on air within a finite timeframe.
• Read out prizewinners on television requiring impromptu presentations and dancing.
The impromptu nature of live TV taught me adaptability and to be prepared for anything. As I was working with children and taking directions from producers, I have the capability to relate and communicate with a range of ages. Speaking on national television has given me the confidence to converse effectively, dynamically and creatively.
