Managing your applications

To manage your applicants, go to My Listings.

Next, click the green “Manage applications” button next to the title of the listing you want to manage.

You’ll now see the details of everyone who has applied to your casting call. You can contact applicants directly, add notes, place feedback, and print out individual profiles or the full list of applicants.

You can also sort your applicants into “Shortlist” or “Unsuccessful” folders. (Don’t worry, this is for your use only. Members won’t find out if you move them between folders!)

We’ve made it even easier to manage applicants with our user friendly Talent Filters.



Log into your Manage Applications page to quickly and easily filter your applicants by location, gender, age, experience, physical characteristics, ethnicity and more (depending on the category of talent you are searching for).

We’ll automatically filter your applicants to show you talent who match the criteria you set when you placed a listing.  We’ll remind you what your criteria was, by showing you at the top of the page, using white filters. 

Change the filters as often as you like to expand who you see, or to narrow in on a niche group of talent.  To use the Talent Filters, simply click or touch the filter option you wish to change. Use ‘add filter’ to select additional filter options. You will see at a glance how many applicants fit your new Talent Filter selection.

Filters remain white if they match your original selection criteria when you created listing. Your filters will turn blue if you select search criteria that differs from your original listing criteria, so you can see which filters you’ve changed at a glance.

The ‘Don’t Match All Criteria' folder is now redundant and has been removed, as only those applicants who meet your brief will be displayed. The Talent Filters will however enable you to widen or narrow your search criteria at any time, so you will be able to display applicants who may not have met your original brief in the manage applications screen.


Your filters will remain in place even if you decide to log out of your Manage Applications page, or if you decide to view applications for another role you’re advertising for.

‘Reset filters’ clears all filters and sets it back to the location, age and gender plus any optional filters you selected when setting up your listing.

If your listing has multiple roles, you will need to select a single role first in order to use the full range of Talent Filters.  

The new Talent Filters are a great addition for those who may wish to widen or narrow their search criteria after placing a listing to find that perfect applicant!

Who got the part?

Once your listing has closed, you can also click the green "Got the part” button on the same page, under the successful person’s headshot.

This will be added to the total number of castings on their StarNow profile. It might help them land more castings, so if you did cast someone, please click the “Got the part” button.

Placing feedback

We’d really appreciate it if you would place feedback on any talent you work with.

Every application you receive includes a “Place feedback” link at the bottom. If you place positive feedback, it will display on their profile. If you place negative feedback, it will appear on their application if they apply to any of your other castings.
