Jenn Cherene's most recent adventure entails a 4-month contract on board the Celebrity Eclipse as House Band Solitaire's lead vocalist and band leader. The group maintained a standard that was always above and beyond, including themed party nights, 'Bandeoke', 'Welcome Aboard' theatre show, Orchestra/horns collaboration, acoustic sets, backing Adage Duo performance and interacting with guests.
Previously Jenn Cherene completed 2-month contract in an established UAE hotel, performing a variety of pop/rock/country/soul 4sets a night, 7 days a week. Prior to that she successfully completed a 4-month contract aboard Princess Cruises’ flagship, the ‘Royal Princess’, with party band ‘Spectrum’. After disembarking with a glowing evaluation and personal recommendation from the ship’s MD and Cruise Director, Jenn decided to pursue a career as a full-time professional singer.
Born with a love for music and naturally out-going, Jenn Cherene has spent the last 13 years performing as a semi-professional female vocalist in venues across the UK, in 2015 she went full-time.
Whilst attending ‘John Hudson Music’ drama school in her early teen years Jenn performed in a number of regional theatre productions, as well as being a member of a local choir (Alto/Sop) and South Tyneside Brass Band (Premier Tenor Horn).
Jenn Cherene has performed in various cover bands to thousands of audiences in very different settings; from entertaining corporate clients in function bands ‘Soul Circus’ and ‘Spectrum’, rocking out to over 6,000 motor enthusiasts at show/performance rallies, to mesmerising a sold-out Newcastle City Hall as one of the ‘Diamonds’ backing vocalists in ‘Shine On – UK’s No.1 Pink Floyd Tribute Band’. Jenn continues to front rock group ‘Alcatraz’, as well as solo/guest performances and writing her own material.
Jenn Cherene’s repertoire benefits from such a varied background, making her capable of switching genres and styles from Eva Cassidy to Katy Perry, Petula Clark to Aretha Franklin, Jessie J to Vera Lynn, Fleetwood Mac to Led Zeppelin.
Her musical education incudes A Levels in Music and Music Technology, Thames Valley University Grade 5 Popular Music Vocals with Honours, Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music Grades 4 with Merit & 5 on Eb Tenor Horn, Generator Music Development Agency ‘Business of Music’ course, BA (Hons) in Music Journalism and an extensive history of Artist Management and PR.
