I have been dancing for 18+ years, I began at my local dance school where I took Ballet, Jazz, Freestyle, and Tap classes each week as well as attending extra competitive classes. I took part in annual showcases, UKA examinations and was also apart of the Competition Team where we travelled around the UK attending different competitions. I attended a Performing Arts secondary school where I first began having Contemporary dance classes, during my time at school I took part in various workshops and performances around the West Midlands, I achieved an A in my final GCSE Dance grade. I continued my dance studies enrolling on an Extended Diploma In Performing Arts (Dance) at college where I studied Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary for 2 years, we did 3 shows per year which involved us performing, choreographing, designing costumes, helping with lighting and music and taking lead in different backstage roles. We were given many opportunities to attend professional workshops, auditions, and performances as well as being able to be involved in some performances ourselves working with professional dance companies. While attending college I began to attend IDTA Ballet, Jazz, and Freestyle classes and was able to start taking examinations in all 3. I graduated college with my final grade being DDD (Triple Distinction), I successfully auditioned for 5 Universities and confirmed my place on the BA Hons Dance course at John Moores Univerisity. I studied there for a year before deciding to leave and begin my IDTA teaching Qualifications and set up my own Dance Academy which I successfully ran for just under 2 years before making the decision this year to close down in order to focus on my own performing career. I taught a range of classes, Ballet, Jazz, Freestyle, Contemporary, and Acrobatics to children ages 2 - 16, I put together my first successful Showcase with my Academy which was in February 2020 at a local Theatre. I got my first professional contract with Lion's Entertainment also in February 2020 which was a Performing job in Greece doing Hotel Entertainment, unfortunately, due to COVID-19, it was only the training and rehearsals which could happen before hotels closed down. For the last 4 years, I have taken regular Pole, Hoop, and Silk classes each week alongside my dance training.
