Unpaid speaking roles: Amateur dramatics on a small scale in the past. For several years I compered an annual multi-cultural concert at the Town Hall in the London Borough of Redbridge. Role of Crazy Margaret in a student film 2018. Also role of Margaret, a book club member, in the film, Layla. Played a doctors’ receptionist in a corporate training video for health centre reception staff 2018. Have had ‘extra’ work as old lady on bus (2018), mourner (x2), journalist (x2), zombie, prison worker, theatre audience (student film), person in group of drinkers at bar (music video). I have had speaking roles in two puppet shows. I have experience as a public speaker, have previously been involved in local, regional and national politics; am a former college lecturer; currently a lay preacher; all these activities involve having a ‘stage’ presence and being a good communicator.

I was in two of the three episodes of 'Lock them up or let them out' on BBC 2, when I was a member of the Parole Board, I appeared in 'Question Time' when I asked a question of Sally Oppenheimer, I have appeared twice on coverage of LP conference when making speeches. I have taken part in several radio interviews on a variety of issues when I was a local Councillor and was interviewed by Vanessa Feltz along with the conservative and liberal candidates when I was prospective labour candidate for Ilford North. I compered an annual multi cultural concert in the London Borough of Redbridge for several years, with an average audience of 600 people. I have chaired many public meetings eg when I was Chair of the London Ecology Unit, When I was Vice Chair of my local euro condtituency, as a local councillor cabinet member for Environment etc. I have given presentations on sustainability as a local councillor, flood interventions as a member of the Thames Flood Defence Committee, and on Domestic Violence as Chair of Redbrdge Equalities. I have made speaches at Labour Party Conference, given TV and Radio interviews and when I was an Independant member of the Parole Board for England and Wales I appeared in two episodes of a documentary film about our work. I am a former College lecturer, trainer, public speaker and fomer local councillor and parliamentary candidate. I am currently a lay preacher and have many transferable skills
