TEDDY explores an art gallery and examines the exhibits within, feeling out of place amongst the many couples that surround him. Every awkward interaction with the building's staff and patrons pushes him further into his "shell" of self-consciousness and despair. Finally coming to an installation featuring a dancing robot, Teddy sits amongst the audience and the dance begins. The robot, beautiful and very human like, begins to mesmerise the man and before long he begins to fantasise a relationship with "her''. The dance grows increasingly intense as does the man's belief that he has formed a genuine connection. However, as the dance ends he realises that every audience member is entranced in the same way ... his connection was nothing special.
