Chaperone Role Description:
The Chaperone’s role is to team up with the Suit Artist, ensure their safety and see that the event flows smoothly and on time. To do so, as a Chaperone you need to be able to think on your feet, be proactive, be able to take control of situations, remain diligent and professional at all times. As a lot of the time, Suit Artists are hidden instead the head of their character costume and cannot speak, the Chaperone is actually the bright friendly face of the event that greets and speaks to visitors. By accepting this role, you will be accepting these terms.

Please note, Chaperones are required to:
Manage queues
Make sure the parents have their phones ready to go
Cut off the line for sessions, so no one is waiting in line misses out when the session finishes
Ensure each session started and ended to according to schedule
Arrive 30mins early and assist the Suit Artist into their costume
Ensure the Suit Artist’s costume is worn correctly at all times
Ensure no food or drink is ever near the costume both on and off the floor
Subtly adjust the costume where necessary to ensure the Suit Artist/character looks their best throughout the day
Take photos during the event and send to your Event Manager
Complete a detailed event report

Suit Artist Role Description:
The Suit Artist’s plays one of the most important roles in bringing children’s favourite characters to life and fulfilling their dreams of meeting their hero. As most of our costumed characters do not speak, Suit Artists have use exaggerated body language and movements to create expression. By accepting this role, you will be accepting these terms.

Please note, Suit Artists are required to:
Arrive at least 30 minutes earlier (unpaid) than the appearance time to get into the suit
Stay within close proximity to the Chaperone at all times
Stay within character at all times
Research the character and brand you are portraying/representing prior to your event
Complete a detailed event report
Once you have confirmed with our Casting team that you will be accepting this role, you will be sent an event brief which specifies your booking times and the amount you will need to invoice The Entertainment Store once your job is complete. You will also receive an explanation manual with further details regarding your duties as a Chaperone or suit artist, and of how to work as a Chaperone or suit artist for our events. Your Event Manager will later email you important information with event specific instructions.

Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates

Events will be 5th and 6th October.

Job payment

$30 per hour
