The BBC is collaborating with Salford University, setting a small group of students a brief to produce a VT in the style of Blue Peter. Working closely with Blue Peter we will be producing a 6 minute VT about mindfulness and promoting activities for healthy minds in children.
This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring presenter to gain experience, showreel footage and impress BBC Children's producers.
We are looking for an experienced presenter with an energetic, upbeat personality who will work well will children to engage the CBBC audience.
Applicants will be required to send an audition tape via shareable Google Drive link. If successful, we will email you to attend auditions at University of Salford's Media City campus (14th March)
3-4 days filming will take place towards the end of March. Exact dates to be confirmed.

Please note this is a student project and will not be aired.

All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Children's Presenter

A lively, energetic and quirky children's presenter. To deliver information to camera and interact with children on camera in an engaging and relatable way for a 6-13 year old audience in the style of the classic CBBC program Blue Peter.

Anyone, aged 18 to 25

Child Actor / Presenter

We are looking for a child participant between the age of 8-13 who is clever, charismatic and confident. For our Blue Peter VT about Mindfulness they should know about mindfulness or able to be taught about it in order to work alongside our presenter to engage the CBBC audience. (Please note this is a student project provided by Blue Peter and will not be aired but seen by Blue Peter producers.) Auditions will take place at Media City 21st March. Legal guardian must accompany applicants.
