The film is about a young non-verbal Autistic man who is struggling with the world changing. It is a short script and is a sad drama. In terms of the ideal actor, I would like a young man who is comfortable acting out this type of disability without coming off as offensive or as though we are mocking people, as it is a loving tribute to those most vulnerable in our society.
The film is mainly for university purposes but I would also be publishing this online and if it turns out great I will submit it into festivals. I am a student producer and writer, and will give plenty of references for the type of shots I would like, style of acting etc.
Audition / Rehearsal / Production datesI would like this completely filmed by the 20th of May, and then I will edit it from home.
This job is unpaid - student film with no budget so payment isn't possible currently but is subject to change in the future.

The lead male character is a non-verbal Autistic man who is very used to his everyday routine in the care home he lives in. He likes to sit next to the window watching people walk past and he often engages with them and refers to them as his friends. He is a calm person and usually just sits watching but when things change in his every day life, he has no way to remain calm and gets upset and violent with himself and his carers.
