COVID-restrictions pending we hope to kick-off Monday 6 October and we already have a great venue, Music Director, a fantastic pianist and we are Incorporated.
As a start-up choir, everything we need for our first concert (end April 2021) is an expense - money which we don't have until we have members and a concert under our belt. So here's the deal !
All successful arrangers which we take on board now, will arrange one song for us for our first concert for $100 AUD. After which time, we then guarantee we will commission AT LEAST one more song at $250 (AUD) which we will sing at our subsequent concert. And hopefully the concerts after that. In other words, if you can arrange one song for $100 AUD, we will then commission you to arrange more songs in the future at $250 (AUD) each song! WIN-WIN situation for everyone.
Deliverables: We would need sheet music (piano and TTBB) as well as 5 mp3 files produced from Sibelius (or any other music writing software). One Mp3 would be piano with all voice-notes, and the other Mp3s are piano with one-highlighted-voice part with the other voice parts softer but audible. These constitute our learning tracks. If successful I can send examples of what we mean.
What to do right now?
Send us your EOI, highlighting your experience in this field and send us one or two mp3 samples of your work (or video of a choir singing one of your arrangements) for us to listen to.
For an idea of the sort of songs and sound we are aiming for - google the LOWREZ Male Pop Choir, Melbourne on youtube - We started up this choir in 2008 and it's still going strong !
Many thanks in advance for your interest - please refer to our website for more information.
Audition / Rehearsal / Production datesongoing but first rehearsal is planned for 6 October 2020 (COVID-restrictions allowing).
Fixed price of $100 - We pay $100 AUD for your first arrangement, thereafter $250 AUD for each song we commission.
