It's 1997 - a young, rough-around-the-edges father Liam, enlists the help of his childhood mate Shane to drive him to the other end of the country for a child custody hearing that will determine his future with his young daughter. The road proves tough as a combination of his spotted past and Shane's appetite for criminality test their friendship to its limits.
The 4-minute film delves into the subject of father's rights and we're looking to enter it into the festival circuit owing to the subject matter and the fact that the production will be shot entirely in a studio setting.
We've been given a fantastic opportunity to have free rein of a newly renovated underwater studio, so we've formulated a short film that utilises different elements of the premises, including; rain, a wet studio and a full-size underwater filming tank.
Because this is a collaboration with the studio, production and cast are receiving expenses and catering for their involvement. A copy of the finished short will also be available for cast and crew.
Shooting is across 2 days (24th - 25th September) in the Croydon studio.
Measures will be implemented according to government guidelines with film productions. Full details will be shared ahead of the production dates.

Budget will be allocated for costume (exact budget will be discussed directly with applicants). We're looking for someone who can source period appropriate costume from stores, personal collection and/ or PR companies. Costume: The two characters are working class lads in their early 20's from London. The mid-late 90's drum and bass scene offers some great imagery to work from and we'll be sharing mood boards with applicants as a guideline.
