Carnival of Eternal Light are now casting for their third theatre production The Delirium of Phobos which will be performed as part of the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival.

Based on the genres of fantasy, nonsense and absurdity as well as utilising different performance genres including dance Phobos tells the story of Beastburden the Fairy who is running from the humans who hunt her because of her name. Hoping to find sanctuary inside the mysterious Phobos’ Delirium Beastburden searches for the mythical cascade, a place where she can dispose of the porcelain tears she is crying in return for real ones. As her quest unfolds Beastburden meets all manner of weird and wonderful beings that show her just how infinite and astonishing the Delirium is.

Phobos will perform on Monday 2nd & Tuesday 3rd November at the King’s Arms Theatre in Salford at 7pm. Sadly this is currently a voluntary position.

We are looking for Actors with a North West base, ideally Manchester, who are exciting and versatile performers. There may be some dual role character opportunities as well if we happen to find the right performer. Rehearsals will look to get underway from late September onwards and will take place in Manchester City Centre on dates TBD.

Auditions will be held via the self tape process with details given to the chosen applicants.

Phobos follows our debut show The Looking Glass, based on Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and our award winning original superhero production Elysiad.

We look forward to hearing from you!
