As I am a student I can only offer TFP - Images from this project will more than likely be exhibited in the Brighton University Photography Masters Degree show next year so public exposure is likely (so long as the COVID conditions are better by then).
Working title is "Loneliness/Solitude Landscape".
Yes you've guessed it this an outside in the environment project.
Picture a solitary figure in the landscape all alone - I'm looking at using locations on the South Downs as well as woodland areas as well - I'd love it if I could also get deserted urban shot's too but that would be an extra.
The concept behind this project is the rising level's of loneliness, solitude, anxiety depression and other feelings people have been experiencing since the COVID-19 crisis began back in the spring.
A good reference image for this project would be Norwegian Expressionist artist Edvard Munch's painting Der Schrei der Natur (The Scream of Nature) or more commonly known as "The Scream"
This is a humanist expressionist project that I hope people will be able to both relate to and take comfort from. In no way do I want to exploit or trivialise individuals pain and personal experience's of what has become an endemic part of our lives.
This is a predominantly outdoor location based project so you will more than likely get wet, windswept and cold.
Due to the locations your own transport is required.
Outfits/looks to be discussed prior to each shoot.
This is a long-term project that I envisage running from the autumn all the way into the spring possibly even early summer.
Also please note I will predominantly be shooting this project using 35mm film cameras (Canon EOS 1n) though I will also take some shots with a DSLR (Canon EOS 5D Mark 2).
