Hey everybody, I'm a RMIT student filmmaker located in Melbourne that is creating a small webisode-series comprising of five episodes. The theme of the series is about modern addictions and how the people who face these addictions are pushed to change their behaviors. Examples include shoplifting, social media etc. The webisodes will act as an educational drama to teach/educate but also shed light on modernized addictions.
The series is called 'Hooked" and will shown on YouTube/ small Facebook pages to promote each students work.

As my episode focuses on kleptomania, all I require is a young actress that is willing to change outfits and able to cry on demand.
If possible, I'm looking for mother and daughter actresses that are from the same household for scenes including hugging and physical touch.
The actress that plays the main character Amy, must be willing to act in two episodes- due to the last episode focused on all the characters conquering their addictions in rehab.

Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates

Due to Covid-19 filming will begin on 8th October- 12th October 2020
The dates actors must be available is the 8th and 12th October

Collaborations should create mutual benefit and are usually amateur, student or 'Time for Print' projects.

Amy- female lead

The character is sneaky and steals items from friends and other places. She's smart and know's how to get herself out of a situation by lying but she sometimes does an action/gesture (scratching ear/ avoiding eye contact) that hints at her lies. When she looks in the mirror she appears in her own head and slightly disheveled. The clothes she steals are nice but she never appears happy which makes her want to shoplift more items.

Female, aged 18 to 22

Maddy- minor female lead. Best friend to Amy

Maddy's character is sweet, bubbly and is always smiling. She enjoys shopping, partying and socializing. She sometimes questions how Amy has been getting so many clothes, but usually shrugs it off- appearing almost naive or unbothered. Her attitude changes when she learns Amy has stolen her dress- she becomes confused, angry and eventually sad after learning her best friend has an addiction.

Female, aged 18 to 25

Susanne- minor female role. Mother to Amy

Susanne is sweet, refined, calm and is good at putting two-to-two together. She often questions Amy's actions and her obsession for buying clothes etc. She is never judgmental or mean towards Amy or her addiction, but rather she feels sorry and tries to get her daughter help.

Female, aged 18 to 48
