We need someone with Intermediate experience with making fake scars, wounds and blood.
for our short Horror/Thriller film "Beyond the Reaches of Light".
When a librarian, named Alice, is drawn towards a cursed, war-torn book… She is targeted by a mysterious entity that draws upon psychological horror to torture its victim's minds. She encounters different spine-crawling scares throughout her journey home as she tries to live her normal, boring life.
Alice must endure these horrors and discover the link between the incidents and the book before it’s too late. However, an unexpected visit from her brother leaves Alice with more questions than answers.
We will be shooting from April 2021 in Portsmouth, Hampshire. This film will be going out on video platforms such as Vimeo and Youtube.
Bear in mind this is a University-funded short film so it will be unpaid work.
However, we will provide travel, food and expenses on the make-up and ingredients needed to make the wounds. More information below..

SFX Make-UP Artist
The scene you would need to apply wounds to is a scene where our main character's brother(Chris) is lying dead in a pill of blood, wounded, with roses around him. This death is caused by a mysterious entity that plays in the thoughts of our main character Alice.
Anyone, aged 18 and over
