Our classes are designed to prepare students for the next stage of their training at professional college so we are looking for someone motivational who is able to use their knowledge, skills, technique and expertise of dance to inspire, train and teach our students in our weekly sessions whilst maintain the ‘fun’ ethos of Razzamataz.
We are an award winning theatre school providing training in dance, drama and singing in both musical theatre and commercial styles to children aged 2-18 years. We aim to develop a child's confidence whilst they learn new skills, make new friends and have fun in a safe and secure environment. Our technical dance sessions are in additional to our main theatre school and run on Thursday evenings.
The job role includes, but is not limited to:-Working as part of a team committed to providing high quality performing arts training
-Taking responsibility for all your classes performance numbers in our annual showcase
-Preparing weekly and termly lesson plans
-Preparing students for termly presentations/watching weeks
-Good organisation skills
-Excellent communication skills
-A natural affinity with children
-A passion for teaching dance and for the Performing Arts
Classes are held at Meadowhead School, Dyche Lane, Sheffield, S8 8BR during term time. The position does not require a teaching qualification but experience in the above mentioned dance styles is essential. The application deadline is Thursday 24th May.
