Wakakirri is in search of Facilitators (dance teachers, musical theatre artists, choreographers) to work with Primary and Secondary schools to create a Story-Dance item over a 10-12 week period that prepares them for our 2021 Performing Arts Festival in various theatres across Australia.
This is part of our 'Best Start Program' that gives schools creative support by working with a professional artist who is an expert in the field.
A Facilitator for the Wakakirri 'Best Start Program' is someone who is reliable, highly organised, with great communication skills, has a passion for the Arts, and is experienced in working with large groups of students in either primary or secondary schools. You will be responsible for helping to design and create a story-dance item while ensuring that everyone participating in the program feels supported to prepare for and present a Wakakirri Performance. A strong background in Dance/Theatre is preferred.

Audition / Rehearsal / Production datesTerm 2 - Term 3 in line with WA school dates.
$70 per hour - Payment processed after 50% of the agreed rehearsal sessions have been conducted, the remaining 50% of rehearsals plus attending Performance Day and Admin Fees at the end of the schedule.
