The reason we like to work in a long term unit is that we find our end products and growth as filmmakers to be a more of a higher level than it would be if we chose new people for each job. With each job we learn from the last together, making the next job easy to adapt to.
We are looking for core team members who can step in on an equal level and lead in their areas wether thats visual, sound, admin etc you will have control in what you do. That also means we will rely on you, we want passionate filmmakers who really care about their work.
Please only apply if you are below 30 as our current team ages are between 20-26 so we wouldn’t want to ruin our friendship type vibe. Also please only apply if getting to Durham and the North East region regularly isn’t an issue. We like to have in person meetings fortnightly or sometimes weekly so if you don’t live local it’s probably not an option.
Finally, pay. We are growing our reputation so at the moment the pay isn’t great, there is no salary or expenses paid, money is a job by job basis, videography work will bring in money which we split between us but we also do a lot of our own short films and creative projects with micro budgets. You will need to be willing to work on certain projects for free like the rest of us do however like previously mentioned we do work on videography jobs which brings in money.
Happy to talk further with anyone interested, we are open to a range of experience levels. If you don’t feel like you have the skill level or experience just yet still apply, even if you are not suitable for a core leading role we always need lesser roles filled.
