Charlie Pepper
Charlie is a young aspiring comedian who has recently left his well paying law position to seek a life in the world of stand up comedy. Charlie is generally an introvert, sitting back and observing life and all of its ironies. He has a charm to his wit but is also rather self conscious.

Colin Bale
A world class London born comedian, in line with greats such as Bill Hicks and George Carlin. He's extremely charming and has a way with words like no other. Having only recently come out of rehab for alcohol abuse, Colin is trying to pick himself back up with a comeback tour of Australia. He's teamed up with Charlie and involuntarily becomes his mentor. However, Colin still battles with depression, claiming that when delivering stand up, it is the only time he ever truly feels alive.

A portly man aged 25 to 35. He is a talent agent who is struggling to find his big break. Enter Charlie. Although Gavin might come across as slow and simple at times, he can be extremely intelligent when the moment calls for it.

Rebecca
A self made success story, Rebecca (28 - 38) is head of events management for the Australian Comedy Corporation. Having a recent history with Colin Bale, she is responsible for teaming him up with Charlie for the comedy tour. However, by convincing the rest of the board to let Colin tour, Rebecca has put her neck on the line.
