"Floating Away" is a music video that will convey the importance of time through people and places. The music video will follow the life of an elderly woman, who wakes up one early morning and reflects on her life. The story will follow an important stage of her past, as we see her in her youth. Highlighting the importance of people such as friends and family, and how they impacted on her life.

The song itself falls under the RnB genre. However, it’s different to the “RnB” we listen to nowadays. The song is calm and definitely has an old-school aspect to it. Floating Away was written and produced by Bruce Hathcock, a very talented artist, who has worked with artists such as Bone Thugs 'N' Harmony.

In order to tell this story, we need quite a few characters for this project. This project will be unpaid. However, the experience will be well worth it. Students from SAE Qantm, the world’s leading educator in creative media, will be leading this production for "Floating Away". The music video will be shot on the cinematic Black Magic Cinema Camera, resulting in a beautiful image for the final product.

To have a sense of what we aim to have for the final product, the following are music videos, which we have drawn inspiration from. Bonobo’s First Fires and Flight Facilities’, Clair De Lune. The way the story is told, framing, lighting etc is somewhat of how we want to execute the music video for Floating Away.

In terms of the shooting schedule for this project, we are planning to shoot this in the mid of June, for just a few days.
