Composer

Jim Maclaine is the name of the fictional rock star portrayed by David Essex in the classic films ‘That’ll be the day’ (1973) and ‘Stardust’ (1974). Maclaine’s seminal work is the rock opera entitled ‘Dea Sancta Et Gloria’ which was his tribute to the deification/ glory of woman. In the movie and book of ‘Stardust’ written by Ray Connolly, it is implied that ‘Dea Sancta’ was a full production of songs accompanied by an album. However, in the movie it is only the main title theme which is shown to be performed, until now...

Creator and lyricist, Tony Marshall has written an additional nine songs to form the full production of the rock opera, and requires a composer/ musical arranger to construct the music for these songs for a developing production.

The ten songs will be performed by a choir in a London venue (to be confirmed) and the styles range from rock to ballads. A composer royalty will be negotiated upon for payment of services.
