A horror comedy feature shooting in Queensland in October/November. Actors required for various roles in various time frames. The film is about a town of crazed locals who lure international tourists in to use as food, with the comedic tone of Shaun of the Dead and Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. As the film is set in a rural outback town, we are looking for unique 'outback' faces (craggy, intesting, weathered) of all genders, as well as multiple ethnic actors (Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian etc.) to play the unsuspecting tourists.

All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Rehearsal / production dates

Entire shoot will be from October 23-November 10. These roles will be required for a shorter time within that shoot window.

Job compensation

Payment Dependent on Role

Kong Dang - Speaking Role

Kong Dang is an immigrant who is so happy to be allowed entry into Australia that he doesn't suspect anything sinister is going on. He has a thick accent and is trying his hardest to learn English. He's positive even up until the point he realises he's going to be eaten. Ethnicity is flexible, but we are ideally looking for someone of Vietnamese, Chinese or Korean descent.

Males, aged 18 to 40 from Queensland, Australia

Female Immigrant - Speaking Role

While unnamed in the film, this woman is the only one to make a daring escape. She is of asian decent (Chinese, Japanese, Korean or Vietnamese). She runs into the wilderness during an exciting chase scene, but is captured again. While she meets a nasty demise, she provides she comic relief, rolling her eyes at the bumbling fools even as they send her to slaughter. Needs a thick accent, as she has newly entered Australia.

Females, aged 18 to 40 from Queensland, Australia

Various Australian Outback Locals - Non-speaking

We are looking for interesting faces. Weathered, craggy types, beards, sun lines, wrinkles, missing teeth. If you don't have those characteristics but still feel you'd fit in a quirky outback town, we'd still love to see your application. Stunt/fight choreography a plus, as there may be an opportunity to be involved in a street brawl.

Anyone, aged 18 and over from Queensland, Australia

Various International Immigrants - Non-speaking

We are looking for a diverse range of people to play tourists who are lured into the sinister outback town. They are eager to be in Australia and learn the language, and have no idea that they will soon be turned into food! All ethnicities may apply - Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Korean, German, Vietnamese - we are looking for unique and quirky faces!

Anyone, aged 18 and over from Queensland, Australia

Jayne - Speaking Role

Jayne is a broody, dark 'evil child,' the daughter of the town's matriarch. She is a real Wednesday Adams type, with pale skin and dark hair, a little girl version of Damien from The Omen. Speaking Role.

Females, aged 10 to 16 from Queensland, Australia
