Visitor Experience Assistants - Royal Air Force Museum (6 Months)
The ideal candidate will have previous Front of House or customer facing experience, be a team player and keen to learn new skills. They will be enthusiastic about presenting the Museum, the RAF and the RAF stories to all our visitors.
You will need to be a confident communicator and be able to respond quickly and positively in a changing environment. Being flexible in your outlook is essential as you will be fulfilling a variety of roles at the Museum.
You will be positioned at the museum entrance with the primary function of supporting Retail by actively selling guidebooks against set targets as well as promoting and selling commercial experiences and Museum Memberships. The ideal person will have a bright outgoing personality, with excellent sales and customer service skills, experience of basic retail functions including stock control and operating tills.
You will also be providing visitors with a warm greeting on arrival, helping visitors understand the RAF story through interactive displays, use of museum handling collections and promoting events and activities hosted by the museum.
You will also support the museum in hosting evening events from gala dinners to sleepovers and outdoor film nights.
The post will be based in Colindale, NW London.This is a full time position with regular weekend working. There will be a requirement to work some early mornings, late evenings including working into the early hours of the morning as part of the role.
