My film 'Bleed The Floor' is a dark, Kaufman-esque comedy short about a man suffering from a severe and unexplained case of facial bleeding. The film follows the man's futile visit to a bizarre doctor's surgery where the medical staff and general public seem totally oblivious and apathetic towards his condition, before concluding with a touching and serious ending that comments on relationships and pain.

I'm casting for two supporting roles that would be shot over the course of 2-3 hours on a single day.

These roles are unpaid but all expenses will be covered. I'm sure you're all sick of hearing the 'good exposure' line, but all of my previous films have screened at international film festivals so hopefully you will find the project worthwhile!

Please contact me for a copy of the script if interested.

Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates

Filming will take place (most likely) on the 16th and 17th of February, but these dates are movable regarding your availability! Bar a Skype interview it's unlikely any audition in person will be necessary.

Thank you!

Doctor

This character is a humorously apathetic doctor who remains completely uncaring as the bleeding man laments the extreme pain he is experiencing.

I am preferably looking for an older actor/actress, aged 30+, but will absolutely consider younger applicants if they feel they could bring something else to the role.

Anyone, aged 19 to 85 from York, UK

Receptionist

The receptionist in the clinic lobby is upbeat, bemused and apparently oblivious towards the pain of the bleeding man. I'm looking for someone who can bring humour and vacuous positivity to the role - to play counter to the film's rather depressing tone.

Anyone, aged 18 to 50 from York, UK
