Gender Diverse Actors for Melbourne Fringe Show
I am an emerging non-binary playwright and theatre maker, and at the moment I am feeling pressure to be a voice for the incredibly beautiful and diverse trans community. Through this process, I want to meet other gender diverse creatives and work with you to develop a 6-10 minute monologue. I have extensive dramaturgical experience and you will recieve lots of feedback and assistance in writing your piece. I will also find ways to weave the monologues together.
I am extremely conscious of the time/energy and money strains on trans* people, so the show will sort of run like a cabaret with minimal group rehearsal time. I really want the show to be site specific, so I'm looking at actual (queer friendly) beer gardens in the Inner North. I'm aiming for this show to be part of Melbourne Fringe, or La Mama Explorations.
