Percussionist (World Music) Wanted to Collaborate With Dancer
I am a professional dancer specialising in Latin American and African styles. I am looking for a percussionist to collaborate on creating a set to offer to events/festivals/gigs across the summer.
I would love to create a partnership with someone who can travel easily, is reliable, friendly and passionate about music and performing. As I am a freelancer hoping to form a collaboration, I am unable to pay for rehearsals, but would work on arranging acceptable venues.
The set is to be created between myself, the dancer, and the percussionist, so the artist should be able to create and improvise rhythms that can complement the dancing (as a percussionist myself so I understand what is feasible)
This is an ongoing process to try and form a team to be ready for when gigs arise. I am more than happy to hear from duos or trio's but it is likely that this first event will just feature one percussionist.
There is one event confirmed at a festival in Norfolk, over a weekend in late July, when I have received specific information about the rate of pay for our first performance, I will let applicants know as well as editing this post.
Audition / Rehearsal / Production datesFlexible at a mutally agreed time and venue.
Paid : Dependant upon contracts arranged (profit share)
