We are currently in pre-production and are in need of highly enthusiastic and passionate actors to jump onboard.
Logline: A dying wife navigates a changing relationship with her husband as her soon-to-be begins filling her shoes earlier than expected.
We aim to shoot the film mid-September and plan to send it to multiple film festivals and promote it online.
(to be played by one actress - a challenging yet rewarding role)
[LYDIA] Late 20s to mid 30s, terminally ill wife to Grant. Loving, contemplative, and strong-minded, standing her ground and speaking up when necessary. Though the cloning was her idea initially, she becomes regretful of the decision she has made as she is increasingly reminded of her mortality. She wrestles internally with this and wanting to give her husband a bright future.
[CLONE] Late 20s to mid 30s, a physical replica of Lydia created by Grant to replace Lydia once she has died. Naive, curious, moves naturally but is emotionally flat at first, developing as she learns. Trying hard to become Grant’s new wife, she becomes confused when Lydia is confronted with her progress, looking to Grant in a childlike manner for direction.
[GRANT] In his 30s, a scientist and husband to Lydia. Does not wear the pants in his marriage, is weak-willed and follows his wife’s lead, as seen when he is hesitant to clone his wife. Grant is intelligent and gives off an intellectual personality, though his willpower is his downfall and he is easily tempted and distracted. His intentions are good, and he loves his wife, but he doesn’t put her first all the time and realises his actions are wrong when it’s too late.
