In highschool I was in the Shakespeare Club and for our reenactment of a scene from 'The Merry Wives of Windsor' we received an award. Aside from this I played minor characters in highschool productions, often being involved in the choir and dancing portions, I did not try for larger parts as I was terrified of the audition process.
In 2016, I was a main character in a silent Japanese-inspired play as part of the Hamilton Fringe Festival. This was a wonderful experience and I received great praise.
On October 31st of 2016 I was a contestant in 'Miss Cadaver': I played a mad scientest's companion who was mind controlled to kill people.
On November the 3rd 2017, my band the Goth and the Pixie released an album and as part of the album launch I angrily dragged and pushed one of the opening acts onto the stage, screaming and yelling. I like to bring theatre into my music performances.
In 2019 I was a pixie for a child's birthday party.

As a solo artist under the name 'Macaila Eve' I have performed at the Hamilton Garden's Arts Festival hub (2020), in the Hamsterfest Acoustic Festival (2016, headlined by Daniel Champagne) and in FutureCity Festival (headlined by Nadia Reid) (2019). Sometimes my partner Cappuccino accompanies me and we make soulful harmonies.
My old band the Goth and the Pixie opened for notable bands Former Friends of Young Americans (USA), Ted Dansen With Wolves (Syd, Aus), Whitney Flynn of Days n Daze (USA), the Mermaidens (Wtn), Albi and the Wolves (Akl), Coral (Ham) and Looking for Alaska (Ham). Our album Bag of Ants is available on Bandcamp & streaming services.
With Whiskey Dram I performed at folk punk festival 'Hobofopo' (2017) and 'Wall to Wall' street art festival (2018).
I have also been involved in Closet Octopus (Ham, NZ), and the Nobody Girls (Ham, NZ). I have performed with talented musicians James Hickey (Adelaide, Aus), Pepper Jane (Qld, Aus), and Aorangi (Ham, NZ).
I did session violin on the recording of 'Second Hand Serving' for Coral (Ham, NZ), and violin and vocals on the recording of 'My Dove' by Aorangi (Ham, NZ).

As both of my parents are musicians, I have been playing and performing from an early age. I began playing violin at the age of 4, mostly I improvise, playing by ear, but I am able to read music too. I began playing guitar around age 8 or 9. I have always sung, was involved in many choirs, including a Jazz SCAT choir in high-school, and developed skill in harmonising during my teenage years. I like to dabble in other instruments, particularly piano.
Throughout my teenage years my mother would bring me onto stage with her to do vocal harmonies at her gigs. My dad had his own home studio and often recorded me singing or playing violin onto his original songs.
As a solo artist I perform guitar and sing. When accompanied I perform violin and sing. I love to harmonise.

Film & Stage Crew

I have often helped out on shows that I am in to put together sets, change sets between scenes, and with audio.
