My love of dance and performing began when I attended my first ballet class when I was three years old and I have continued ever since.?Over the years I have attended dance schools and learnt many styles such as: Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Street, Contemporary, Pointe, Cheerleading, Commercial, Ariel, Musical Theatre and so on. Not to mention singing, and acting too.?My vocal range starts around an E3 and I comfortably finish around a C6, however I believe i could adapt for any role. I train my voice every day and i have a very powerful chest voice.?For me, dancing is a sport that has no limitations, it makes me feel beautiful and alive!?The passion and talents I have for dancing, singing and acting are too powerful to just retain as a hobby.?I am eager to start my career in the theatre, as at a young age I auditioned as chorus for “Our house” and “high school musical” to then being cast as a main role in local musicals such as “Thirteen!” And “Footloose!”.?Before I started university I was a dance teacher at “Warmlake Dance Academy” teaching my own cheerleading, musical theatre and commercial classes, this began at the age of sixteen throughout my sixth form years. During my time teaching, I entered my students in to competitions. We traveled to different competitions to compete against other dance groups where my dancers won 1st place. I was also the choreographer for the winning pieces.? This experience has shaped me into the performer, choreographer and teacher I am today.? Reflecting upon my invaluable experiences, I have gained additional transferable skills such as time-management, problem solving, leadership, listening and organising skills.
I believe I am also versatile, flexible, fast learning and constantly working towards self improvement.?In my future career, I aspire to be a professional commercial dancer, both performing and teaching, and a performer in the West End, as when I participate in classes and teach, I express myself through performance and hope to one day inspire others with my very own professional pieces and work.
