From an early age I knew I wanted to act. At school I was in Theatre Groups, School Plays, took elocution and acting lessons, went on to an A-Level in Theatre Studies and then my degree in Media and Performance. I studied Shakespeare, Theatre and TV Acting, presenting, directing, producing and scriptwriting.
On finishing my degree my desire to travel was all consuming so I spent the next 5 years visiting and living in various countries, from South, North and Central America to Asia, Australia and North Africa. The things I have seen and lived through during this time all added to me as a person and have given me a large and varied width and depth of real experience to draw on.
I fulfilled my interest of playing out parts and exploring different life roles by working in immensely varied sectors, something I only realised with hindsight. Partly funding my travel with Modeling, Promotions and Hospitality work, including various character roles, I also managed a bar in Ecuador, living the night time club life, finishing work at midnight, dancing all night, sleeping all day, waking up in time to go back and open up. I found a way to combine work with my love of travel by becoming a crew member on private yachts in Europe and America, working hard 16 hour days when there were guests aboard, seeing amazing lightning storms on watch at night and delighting at the dolphins and the ocean in the day.
I returned to the UK feeling impassioned about the NHS after meeting people who had lost their life saving due to not having health insurance in the USA so became a school nurse assistant for a few years then starting working for a friends company an started doing bits of acting again. I finished working at my friends company in order to concentrate more fully on an acting career but became pregnant the day after I left and that year I also became one of the directors of an annual music festival which is still ongoing, this year would have been the fifth year but we will have to postpone it due to Coronavirus. Due to the birth of my daughter, and the unforeseen workload of putting on a festival! I took a break from acting but am now totally ready for and excited about getting back into this industry!
