I'll try my best not to bore you, but...
My music experience, I believe, is quite large because I've been singing and performing to an audience ever since I can remember.
Many have been baffled by my singing ability, range and style. I've also been commended on how well I interpret songs and make them my own. I can write songs, often for myself to sing. When I was 16 years old I wrote and recorded some gospel songs as a result of winning a competition in London; in fact, I have won a few singing competitions. Therefore I have experience recording in a studio and brainstorming with producers on what worked best on certain tracks. Some of the songs were even played on a couple of Christian radio channels; the main single from the EP made it to Nigeria and was aired on radio stations and the EP was also distributed in shops there.
In reference to making songs my own, I co-wrote a remixed version of Champion by Chimpmunk ft Chris Brown during my school years. It opened up performance opportunities in multiple Olympic based events. I also had the honour of singing to Dame Kelly Holmes who wrote on a website about the performance, saying, it 'literally gave me goose-bumps!'
I was recently hired to sing as at a Henna Mendhi party. It was a Bollywood song called Tum Hi Ho. Did I mention that the song is sung in Hindi? I found the English translation to the lyrics and re-wrote the song into an English version. However, I decided to keep the choruses and certain parts of the verses Hindi. This is just one of the events I have been hired to sing at - including weddings, birthdays and conferences.
I am currently working on a love song that will be used as a soundtrack for a wedding advertising campaign. In my spare time, I write music and collab with other musicians and I'm planning on videoing those sessions soon.
Let me know what I can do for you and I'd be happy to help!
