I have been playing guitar for 14 years, 9 of which I have been working as a professional musician. The majority of my experience has been with playing in pro level function bands for a vast variety of events. Notable venues I have performed at include; Grosvenor House in Park Lane, The Dorchester in Mayfair, The Mayfair, The Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square and at The Grand National at Aintree. Clients I have played for include; British Gas, Health Insurance Awards, GAP, Glaxo Smith Kline, DHL and Halifax plc.
The majority of the work has been in the soul, disco and funk genres, however I am also versed in rock, pop, reggae, latin and jazz. My style of guitar playing very much reflects this experience as a great feel and solid groove is a great highlight in my playing. My musicianship is of an expert standard, displaying excellent theory and chord knowledge and playing virtuosity. I also have the ability to sing backing vocals with the ability of being able to harmonise with ease.
As well as excellent musicianship I own professional quality equipment, including a variety of different guitars (Fender Stratocaster, Fender Telecaster, Gibson ES-339, Taylor acoustic etc...) and a pedal board with a wide variety of effects, which gives me the ability to adapt to any playing situation. I hold a full, clean UK driving license and own my own transportation.
On a more personal level I am very dedicated to my job as a musician, I am punctual and always very well presented.
I am currently the guitar tutor for the Yamaha Music School, at the Romford branch. I also teach privately, and with both combined, teach over 50 students per week.
