Wayne Scott has been playing drums for many years now and is loving every minute of it, in his own words “ you can't beat the drums" no pun intended, they are the ultimate instrument to play". Wayne has gigged in various places in and around the UK and over seas, with live and studio recording under his belt. Styles include Funk, Rnb, Salsa, Jazz, Ska, Reggae, Hip Hop, and everything in between.
Wayne Scott as played at a wide range of venues such as Ronnie Scott's, Jam House, Birmingham NEC, Birmingham Town hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, London's Barbican Centre, G Live, and many more.
In 2018-2019 invited to Trinidad and Tobago to play with Desperadoes Steel Orchestra, one of the worlds largest steelbands with over 100 plus players.
Also toured Germany with Afrotation for the Tubinger Jazz Festival playing a mixture of Reggae, Jazz and Funk.
Currantly working along side Jeff Rich drummer with Status Quo, delivering drum master classes
up and down the uk.
I recorded my first album with in the early 1990s called “Ignorance”with The Caribbean Jazz Band, this band fused calypso and jazz together giving us a very unique sound.
My latest album” Float like a Butterfly” recorded with “Pama International” Linval Golding Guitarist with the specials, Lee Thomas saxophonist with Madness, Ernie Mckone(Gilliano,Push, who is also Paul Weller's bass man. The Music fused punk rock with ska to produce a unique sound that is recieveing rave reviews world wide and has featured on various movie sound tracks.
