I have trained in Ballet and Modern Jazz since 4years of age and after completing my Modern Jazz syllabus I branched out to Hip Hop. I continue to teach hip hop/ funk and modern jazz classes. I am constantly trying to get as much dance training possibly and have spent time in LA attending class.
I have atleast 9 years experience dancing in professional cheerleader dance teams both in Dunedin and in Auckland and was voted NZ's Cheerleader of the year a few years back.
I have danced in 2 different hip hop crews, both times representing New Zealand in various World Competitions and also took one crew to Australia to tour schools around Adelaide and work with disadvantaged people. My role was choreographer and performer in both crews.
I currently run a professional performance group, choreographing routines of a variety of styles to suit the event we are to perform at. Usual choreograph styles range from American styled Flag Twirling, Hip hop funk, Modern Jazz, pom routines, cabaret, old school, gymnastics and mascot performing. I have choreographed events small and large: All Blacks test (50+ dancers and gymnasts), Flash mobs (working a mixture of professional dancers and inexperienced dancers. This is the most recent Flash mobbed wedding at Countdown which went viral), Street Parades (Santa parade for 5 years now), Back ground performances (for events in Queenstown and Dunedin), Many Corporate black tie events, festivals, variety of sporting events.
